Annual Cybersecurity Awareness Training is required for all university employees to ensure awareness of ever-present and evolving cybersecurity threats. The training window opened on Monday, Sept. 9, 2024, and completion of training has been extended to Friday, Dec. 20, 2024.
Due to the many disruptions that Hurricane Helene has caused in our community, we are extending the training deadline to Friday, December 20, 2024 (after Fall Semester ends).
Annual cybersecurity awareness training leads to:
- Improved knowledge of cybersecurity threats and best practices.
- Reduced cybersecurity incidents by equipping faculty and staff with the knowledge to recognize and respond to cybersecurity threats.
- Increased protection for handling sensitive data.
- Meeting required compliance standards and reducing costs for cybersecurity insurance.
What to expect
- If you have already completed your training, thank you for taking an active role in protecting the security of App State’s systems, data and reputation.
