In December 2015, the University adopted a Data Management Standard (PDF) which defines data classifications for Confidential, Sensitive, Internal and Public data.
We are now working on a Data Handling Standard to identify the appropriate storage and transmission solutions for data in each classification. While we work on this, please see our Guidance document on Secure File Storage and Sharing with steps on how to securely store and transmit data in the different classifications.
